Coastside United Indivisible takes action in our community, building collective purpose and creating positive change.
We have worked with groups like Sister District, Indivisible, Activate America, and Reclaim Our Vote. In 2018 we registered as a Sister District affiliate. Each year we sponsor two Sister District candidates with fundraising, phone calls and postcarding. In 2022 we officially became an Indivisible group, Coastside Indivisible. We have an ongoing postcard group and have written over 160,000 postcards and letters since 2017.
Since Trump’s election in 2024, Coastside Indivisible's focus has been to establish a community of individuals ready to push back against Trump 2.0 and Project 2025 as they seek to undermine our democracy and values. We helped organize the Jan 18 “People’s March”, Feb 17 “Not My President” and “May Day” Sign Waving in Pacifica plus over 40 Tesla Takedown protests in Colma, Hands Off, No Kings, and No Kings 2. We were part of Northern California Indivisible Round Table discussions with Senators Padilla and Schiff, and Congressman Liccardo’s staff, and have held monthly community meetings with Zoom options. Coastside Indivisible has also participated in activities with La Honda Indivisible, Indivisible San Francisco, Indivisible East Bay, Indivisible Mid-Peninsula, Indivisible NorCal, Indivisible CA | StateStrong, and of course, with Indivisible National.
Currently we are sponsoring weekly nonviolent sign waving protests on Saturdays at the Colma Tesla dealership from 2:00 - 3:00 PM and Support Our National Parks in Pacifica at the Moose Lodge/Hwy 1 intersection from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. For current information see https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/
If you are interested in joining Coastside United for Action/Coastside Indivisible, please email Subscribe to main+subscribe@CUFA.groups.io and ask to join our groups.io. Please include your first and last name with your request. Groups.io is our web-based communication tool.
You are welcome at our next in-person meeting on the third Tuesday of the month, 6:30-8:00 PM at the Little Brown Church, 1850 Francisco Blvd, Pacifica, CA.
Our communication platform is groups.io where all members have access to express their opinions and suggest action items to help fight against Trump and his administration.
Remake our democracy. We recognize our democracy was rigged from the start in favor of the white and wealthy. We actively work to realize a shared vision of a real democracy — of, by, and for the people.
Embrace progressive values. We model inclusion, respect, and fairness in all of our actions.
Coordinate and collaborate. We partner with other Indivisible groups on advocacy, elections, and national Indivisible campaigns.
Build a strong and strategic movement. We focus our efforts to maximize our impact, winning progressive policy victories and taking power at the local, state, and federal level.
Nonviolent actions and events. All events and actions will be nonviolent.
Protesting is a small act of courage, and courage is contagious!
Create a sense of community and inspire people to continue fighting.
Raise awareness and generate public interest.
Amplify marginalized voices (LGBTQ+ rights, immigrants).
Highlight government failings, influence policy, and shape the narrative.
Hold elected officials and institutions accountable and demand change.
In June 2025, we did what many claimed was impossible: peacefully mobilized millions of people to take to the streets and declare with one voice: America has No Kings. And it mattered. The world saw the power of the people. The president thinks his rule is absolute.
But in America, we don’t have kings and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty.
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger, because this country does not belong to kings, dictators, or tyrants. It belongs to We the People, the people who care, who show up, and the ones who fight for dignity, a life we can afford, and real opportunity.
Groups.io provides an expansive set of web-based group communication tools, including a calendar, wiki, file and photo sharing areas, and chats. All of these features are built around the core email group system. Groups.io believes that the type and style of communication an email group fosters is the best way for many groups to communicate, whether those groups represent companies, organizations, communities, or hobbyists.
Combining the ease of email with the features available on the web, Groups.io strives to be the ultimate communications venue for everyone.
Email Communication Is Asynchronous: Unlike real-time (synchronous) chats or instant messaging, email group members are not forced to be online all at the same time. The asynchronous nature of email has several advantages, especially for larger, distributed groups. Asynchronous communication means more dedicated time to solve problems: It works better for more loosely coupled groups, and it works better for larger groups.
Email Fosters Thoughtful Communication: Email lends itself to longer, more thoughtful exchanges than chats or instant messaging, which makes for better, more thorough communication.
Email Is Universal: If you're on the Internet, you have email. It is the one universal thing, requiring no new app to be installed. It works over slow Internet links. It works for people with visual impairments. Of course, Groups.io has a modern web app, but it isn't required to participate in groups.
