Democrats running for Governor in California:

The Tri-Valley Democratic Club, working with Livermore Indivisible and other organizations, recently sponsored a Candidate Forum to present five Democrats running for governor:

• Antonio Villaraigosa and Matt Mahan were unable to attend due to last minute conflicts.

Each candidate was given up to 5 minutes for an opening statement, 14 minutes for Q&A, and 1 minute for a closing statement. The questions were thoughtful, presented concisely, and allowed several topics to be addressed by each candidate.

The Forum was well organized and gave each candidate an opportunity to introduce themselves and share their policy positions for California's future.

(*) Swalwell has decided to suspend his campaign for Governor and resign from Congress due to the repercussions of charges of sexual assault of a staff member.
